April - 3 months left

Hey!
I have so many plans for this month and I cannot believe that I have less then 3 months left in Mission. First I will meet my German friend in Vancouver, then Eastern, then I will spend a weekend with my friend at her mothers house in another city and then I will go on a 4 day hike. I am already so excited for the hike. It is my first hike and I just bought my hiking shoes yesterday. I really try to train for it and started to walk everyday. Luckily our dog loves to go on walks, so I am not alone. I just wish for a little bit more sun. I am so jealous of my friends in Germany. They have more than 20 degrees and all we have is rain. Next week is the end of the term. We have many tests, quizzes and projects. Tomorrow I have my french test and I need to study for it now, before I go for a walk.

Spring Break

Hey!
I am one week back at school and I really miss the spring break. We already got so many assignments and test to learn for. The time before the term ends is the most stressful time and I am happy when it is over.
My spring break was perfect! I did so many things besides my first hike. I hung out a lot with my friends. I have been shopping with one friend in Vancouver. Her father showed us many places and took us on a tower. I also was on a fair, which has been in Mission for one weekend. It was expensive, but we really enjoyed it. We spent 9h there. My friend from Germany comes soon to Vancouver and I am really looking forwad to see her again after 7 months.

First Hike

Hey!
I did my first hike. I have never done a hike before, because we do not even have hills in the north of Germany. I went on a nice trail with my best friend and her family. I have to say, that her family is like my second hostfamily, because I spend so much time at their house. I cannot believe that I just have 3 more months in Canada. I am sad but of course happy to see my family and friends from Germany again. But untill then I will enjoy my time with my canadian family and my canadian friends!!
Take care

Skiing

Hey,
it is almost March and we still have snow. I don´t mind it, because we never get so much in the north of Germany. I satrted skiing with my Community Recreation class and next Friday is the last time. I think I improved myself well from "I cannot stop!" to "I love the powder snow!". I really wish that I can go skiing again after next Friday. Definitely one of my best experiences in Canada!

February

Hey!
I am sorry that I did not write something earlier, but I had a lot going on this month. I changed my hosfamily. It was not easy for me, but it was the right thing to do and I am so happy in my new family! We had no school for one week because of the snow. So I spent much time with my new hostsister and hostbrother, I really like them and my hostparents are really nice too. I am so happy! I am so grateful for my homestay coordinatorin. She suported me so much.
My family went one week for vacation to Florida, so I lived with my friend and her hostfamily. I think it was almost as good as a week in Florida. We had so much fun and went to so many hockey games.
Then I got sick for the first time and tried to not get my family sick, but it did not really work. I am sorry! But I tried my best to get healthier so I could watch the hockey games. I am so sad that the season is almost over.
Take care

New Years Eve and Skiing

Hey,
I had a perfect New Years Eve. I spent it at my friends´s house up the hill. We got so much snow. It was so beautiful, but the power got out from 8pm to 8am. The atmosphere with the candles was gorgeous. We also drove with Feli´s hostdad in a snowmobile. That was so much fun. We had some firework but not as much as in Germany. But it was a lot louder. I was really pleased with the New Years Eve.
On Friday we went skiing at Hemlock with our Community Recreation class. I just skied once when I have been 5. I was really afraid that I will be bad at it. But I had so much fun. I am looking forwad to go skiing again on Friday.
Take care Nina
